New 2009 U.S. News Tax Rankings - USD Falls 6 Spots!
The University of San Diego LLM program in tax has dropped
6 places - from 10th to 16th! Since there are not that many tax
programs in the country, that represents a very steep decline. What happened
in a year? Absolutely nothing. Because LLM tax programs were ranked for the
first time in 2007 (considered “2008″ by US News), major changes
in rankings can be expected for the next year or two. Still, the decline
shows the arbitrary character of the rankings - and does not reflect the
quality of the students and faculty in the program.
